PRESIDENT 2009/2010 - Rtn.Ayesha Wijeyratne.
Ayesha Wijeyerathne is the 69 th President and 2 nd Lady President of the ROTARY Club of Kandy ,The 4 th Oldest Club in Sri Lanka , She Follows another very Dynamic Lady into this office.
Ayesha was educated at Mahamaya Girls' College, Kandy , Where she was an active debater , Al leading light in the girl guides , and the President of the English Literary Association and Drama Society. Amid the myriad other calls o her time Ayesha is currently following a degree in human resources at the American College of Higher Education.
Her professional life includes a stint in Advertising, Working with TRIKAYA GREY ADVERTISING FIRST SERVE (Now GREY WORLD WIDE) Followed by work as a Free Lance Journalist who still contributes to the Kandy News. Free Lance Interior Design is yet another string to her (career) bow.
Ayesha married PP.Ravana Wijeyeratna in1997 and is the mother of an 11 year old daughter, Anouke and a 21 year old Foster Daughter Rohini, She is also a Surrogate Mother to Around 46 Animals of Various Shapes, Sizes and Ages!
Ayesha Joined the ROTARACT Club of Kandy in 1986 and the ROTARY Club of Kandy in 2001 where she has been the Bulletin Editor , The Vocational Service Director , Secretary and , for the Past two years Vice President, She is also the Treasurer and the President Elect of The Zonta Club of Kandy .
Her Activities in ROTARY has allowed her to fulfill her life long ambition to be of service to her fellow Citizens.
